Grizzlies @ Suns (01:10AM GMT)

DeAndre Ayton of the Phoenix Suns shoots against Jaren Jackson Jr of the Memphis Grizzlies.

The final tip of the week focuses on the match between the Memphis Grizzlies and Phoneix Suns.

Tonight sees the first overall pick go up against the fourth in DeAndre Ayton and Jaren Jackson Jr. This should be a great matchup and a good look at how our 20/1 pick for the Rookie of the Year award gets on against his competition.

Despite the future (and a few current) stars on show, this game should be a low scoring affair – the Grizzlies take the fewest shots, score the fourth least points per game and are the league’s slowest paced team, whilst the Suns are league’s second lowest scorers and third worst shooters. One team can’t shoot and the other team won’t!

The prices for total points in the game don’t really reflect this, with the over/under line being set at 210.5 or 211 depending on your bookmaker. I’m happy to take the under 211 total points scored offered by Paddy Power at 10/11, that seems a bigger price than it should be considering the teams involved. You can also boost this to 11/10 if you have any price boosts available. If you’re feeling more daring you can always take the plunge on the under 205.5 total points available at 13/8 with Paddy Power.

These two teams faced each other just over a week ago in what end up as a blowout victory for Memphis. Finishing up 96-117 in the Grizzlies favour, that scoreline only just falls outside tonight’s prediction. However, that scoreline is a relative anomaly in these two teams’ seasons and I can’t see it being repeated tonight given the playing styles that will be on display.

Best of luck if you’re having a bet. Let us know if you agree or feel differently in the comments below!

Suns vs Grizzlies total points under 211 @ 10/11 (boosted to 11/10) – 1pt
